Recommended for Leveling Out a BDS 4″ Coilover Conversion Lift Kit
This BDS Single Add-a-Leaf kit is highly recommended for anyone throwing on BDS’ 4″ Coilover Four-Link Lift Kit who ALSO have a Super Duty model equipped with the larger 4″ (roughly) factory rear block, and ALSO chose the rear block option rather than the optional leaf spring pack. Did you get all that? Basically, you need this kit to level out the rear of your truck with the front if (and only if) your truck is equipped with the larger, 3-7/8″ factory rear block AND you also chose to equip your 4″ Coilover Four-Link kit with the standard rear block option rather than the optional leaf spring kit. The reason for this is that when you install the BDS lift, you have to remove your factory rear block. That means that if your truck came with the larger 3-7/8″ rear block, you’re losing nearly 4″ of rear height. The BDS lift kit comes with a 5″ rear block standard, leaving you with a roughly 1″ lift in the rear and a 4″ lift in the front. So unless you love the look of a seriously sagging bed, you’ll need to add this kit or the BDS Dual Add-a-Leaf kit to keep the rear level with the front. One more time, if you chose the Leaf Spring option for your BDS 4″ Coilover Conversion Lift Kit, you do NOT need this kit. If your truck has the standard factory 1-7/8″ rear block, you do NOT need this kit. This kit comes with complete instructions, new center pins and new leaf alignment clamps.
