Water Pump, New, Later MK VII & XK120
This is the later XK120 water pump first fitted at Engine W.5465 (and to all F-series engines). This pump was paired with a riveted, six-blade fan attached with four bolts on a square hub. (The earlier pump, C4946, fitted up to Engine W.5464, used a one-piece cast alloy fan attached with five bolts to a round hub.)
This is a reproduction water pump based on the later “Whitely Design” with a pressed-on integral pulley hub. This design has the improved, large, sealed inner bearing assembly in the body rather than in the hub with a weak, narrow neck. While this pump is functionally superior to an original, it is not technically concours-correct.
