Description
A vastly improved and updated replacement for the venerable Frigidaire/Harrison A6 air conditioning compressor. Made from alloy instead of cast iron, it is 54 percent lighter than an original and features Teflon-coated pistons for increased performance and less power drain. The lip-type shaft seal is decades ahead of the carbon mechanical seal of old and is thus compatible with R134a refrigerant. The improved clutch incorporates a friction ring for more positive clutch engagement and is fully covered to prevent contaminants from reaching the clutch bearing. A bolt-in replacement and includes new metric hardware. These are brand-new units with no core charge. This compressor differs slightly in appearance compared to an original. Supplied in bare alloy but can be painted black to match an original compressor. We highly recommend that you replace all hoses along with the compressor.
