The factory brake system in your 2003-2007 Super Duty serves its purpose in most applications, but for heavy-duty towing/hauling, you need something a little extra to ensure ample stopping power. That something extra is PacBrake’s flagship product, the PRXB Inline Mount Exhaust Brake. This supplemental braking system leaves your existing brakes intact and provides constant exhaust pressure as early as 1,200 RPM through the rest of the RPM band. The PRXB delivers the maximum possible braking power, shortest stopping distances and greatest speed reductions without the use of service brakes. This supplemental braking system will prolong the life of your brakes, saving you money in the long-term.
Exceptionally Quiet Supplemental Braking System
The PRXB achieves quiet, powerful and consistent braking power by maintaining constant exhaust backpressure. PacBrake ensures consistent backpressure through the use of an additional wastegate on the butterfly valve which regulates consistent exhaust flow, stabilizing backpressure levels and ensuring consistent stopping power throughout the RPM band. A spring-loaded arm positioned away from the housing and heat controls the exhaust flow for dependable performance for years to come. While the exhaust brake is controlled by a master on/off switch, it can be left on at all times making it ideal for both city driving and steep, downhill grades. The kit includes an air tank, hose and accessories to get the system up and running in no time.
